Located in the Foreign Trade Zone at Manchester Airport, this state of the art manufacturing facility serves as Brita’s United States headquarters.  The 45,000 SF facility was designed to facilitate expansion as their business grows.

The manufacturing area was designed to accommodate raw material storage, special water filter media, mixing equipment, packaging technology, and product testing laboratories.  Special considerations included segregated water treatment, provisions for additional heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment space in the equipment room, office expansion on the second floor and siting the building to accept future expansions.

The lobby and office areas on the first floor were designed to accommodate visiting technical representatives in a secure environment.  The distinctive blue wall panel system adds to the clean, professional atmosphere of this trademark facility.

The site had to be designed in close coordination with Londonderry Con Com and NHDES for stormwater discharge criteria due to the outfall being a designated sensitive stream.  The Turner Group evaluated multiple structural alternatives for suspended solids removal, including vortechnics units.  The final design accepted by the Town of Londonderry included the construction of a multiple bay sedimentation and infiltration basin for retained flows.  Additional permitting criteria included negotiating permits with the FAA due to the close proximity to the Manchester Airport.
